About Me

As you probably realized, I love to write and speak for Jesus. Since 2014, God placed it on my heart to put my thoughts and passions on paper. He has taught me truckloads about life, dating, and the Christian faith since becoming a Christian almost twenty years ago.

(See my portfolio for most of my publications.)

I have traveled and ministered in around forty difference countries. In 2014, I had the privilege to travel around the world for the fourth time. I own my own online business and enjoy the flexible lifestyle it provides. My passion is to change hearts towards Christ through Bible-centric teaching, and to create opportunities for the marginalized around the world.

My other passion is to teach young people. I worked with YWAM Oxford for three years and am still an itinerant speaker with the organization. Also, I love attending school and enjoy studying almost anything! That is probably why I hold a B.S. from Purdue University in Interdisciplinary Science and an M.A. from Bethel College in Theological Studies–two very different fields!

Unfortunately, there is not enough time to earn every degree I desire. This is due, in part, because my heart breaks for being the physical hands and feet of Jesus. I’m convicted that my words must be supported by action. Thousands children are still need of food, clean water, and education. And we millions of people that have yet the hear about our Savior.

There’s so much to do in this short life and so little time!

    Hi Eric,

I’m a 39 year old singleton, who loves Christ and traveling (I’m one up on you in terms of countries visited, Yay!… er, unless this blog is as outdated).

I just wanted to say that after close to 15 years of hearing the same things over and over regarding my status, your article in Cross Walk Singles resonated as true on the various untruths. I was really encouraged and might even print it out, to whip out each time the well meaning church folk (we love em.) begin to work on me :).

I wish you the very best and encourage you to keep writing… It is helping lots of people.

    Bless you,

    Hi Eric,

I am currently looking at your website here. Wow…hearing that you are travelling around the world the 4th time is amazing.

I think you’re the first person I know who has done that.

I hope to travel more too. You mentioned the 20,000 children that are in need of food in the world. is this the statistic? I thought it would actually be higher. The reason I say that is that I have been to Zambia, Africa and I know that there are lots of children going without food. I couldn’t imagine how many children in the whole of Africa are starving as I am talking about it.

I just read your article about women taking initiative. That was quite thought provoking.

    God bless,

Hey, you should come see us in Mazatlan. There’s a YWAM base here, too. Some really cool stuff going on.

Just read your article on wishful thinking “Jesus Is Not Your Genie”. Often I’ve been faced with the question of Christianity as a crutch, but I’d never been able to collect my thoughts enough to come up with a solid answer. Anyways I say all this to say that wow, you truly have a gift of words! You voiced the argument I was looking for so well and have gifted me with a tool that I believe will help me down the road. Hopefully someday I might be able to create something as inspiring as this. Well done!

Thanks Michael. Glad the article was encouraging. Lots of deconstructing needs to be made to discover the true meaning of Christianity.
